The Grade 3/4 Class Creates a "Giving Tree" Book Trailer!

Over the past few weeks, students in the Grade 3/4 class have been working with Mrs. Kulyk and Ms. Elliott to design a book trailer for Leah Dorian's book "The Giving Tree"! We were fortunate enough to begin the process by listening to Leah share with us, her knowledge of Metis culture and the stories behind the story of "The Giving Tree". From there Mrs. Kulyk lead us through the process of storyboarding our book trailer, identifying the big themes and ideas of the story, choosing images to represent the big ideas and selecting and adding the finishing touches of music and narration.

A big thank you goes out to Leah for allowing us to use her images, to Tate for helping with the narration and also to Dallas Boyer, a very talented Metis fiddler who graciously lent us his music!
